The strategic plan adopted by the Central Bank of Tunisia's board of directors for the period 2023-2025 includes the "Tunisia Green Banking" project in its strategic orientation: working for monetary and financial stability for sustainable and inclusive growth. This initiative aims to strengthen sustainable financing and governance practices in the Tunisian financial sector, and is in line with the strategic objective seeking to anchor the dimension of economic, societal and environmental responsibility in the regulation, governance and practices of the banking system.

Financial Market Council (CMF) and Tunis Stock Exchange (BVMT) release an ESG Reporting Guide for listed companies. The guide presents the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchange (UNSSE) Initiative and explains the basic concepts and usefulness of the CSR approach and ESG Reporting as well as practical recommendations of their implementation. It is aimed at all stakeholders to raise awareness about the importance of improving risk management and governance of environmental and social factors including management and disclosure of climate risks.
